JOHN Otway must be one of a kind. Like Don Quixote he tilts at windmills, but otherwise he’s difficult to describe. Certainly you will recognise several different musical genres in his work, but I doubt you’ll find anyone quite like him. At seventy-one years old he has dedicated himself to the pursuit of a dream, and whatever misfortunes have befallen him - and there have been many - he has never abandoned it. He is undoubtedly the most determined individual whose hand I have ever had the privilege to shake.
